Mafia II: Joe's Adventures

Mafia II: Joe's Adventures
It's good to see Joe Barbaro Mafia II again, it's a pity that this add is not worthy of the character. Mafia II: The Adventures of Joe has its bright moments, however. Multiple story-based missions electrifying and remember some of the main application of the fantastic game of shooting. It is unfortunate that the side missions around them are just downright awful boring. One of the most special qualities Mafia II as the story was excellent and the banter between the characters given the context of your business. Even the most mundane tasks were exciting because they feel invested in them. The Adventures of Joe, as downloadable content for Mafia II who came before her, can not provide an adequate description to motivate you. Consequently, conducting a mission in the city to the other becomes tedious, especially when we discover that the task of deciding aggressive unenjoyable.

There are incredible moments that Mafia II fans should know - get ready for some tasks that misses the mark by a wide margin.

At the very least, get Adventures of Joe to a good start for you in the shoes of Vito Scaletta is noisy, bloated hand kicking and hair that you send to a winter shoot. Local bloody struggle that is beautiful and evocative, and a car chase across a frozen lake is a plain fun to the conclusion of this first mission. There are some other similar scripted missions, including a shootout in a supermarket, which ends with a run and an explosive action-packed sequence that starts in a brothel. Like the best moments of the Mafia II, these scenarios are all the more exciting the game excellent graphics and sound. Cullet fly around you, the police barricades explode when you run through them, and your enemies Potty Mouth shouting that they should hurry up and put a bullet in the head because his wife has planned a delicious dinner.

Most of the adventures of the river, is structured as an add-on Revenge of Jimmy. You can run a stand-alone task to another, earning points by completing the guide to lead them into enemies, or maintaining high speeds in a car for you. Each mission has a time limit, and when you're ready for a mission, you can compare performance with other players online leaderboards. This scene was and still is, a villain is based on the game. Timer encourages you to hurry, but the Mafia II half of 1900 vehicles are not built for precise handling at high speeds. In addition, the game hypersensitive to the police and busy roads do not contribute to speed around. Seven cars in line at the traffic light to make a barricade, frustrating, and go over 40 mph, with no ads that the COP is - and why a lock can be patrolled by three or four police officers, there is a good chance to be noticed .

Some other missions are just as frustrating. In a teeth-clenching task, you must deliver weapons shipments to more gun shops, which is to run a car slow and slow to accelerate. The moment you make your first shipment, a fast sedan gives chase while three gangsters hung window to fire you. Because the enemy spawn point is too close, vulnerable vehicle is blown to pieces before you can turn the corner, and your enemies chase you all over town if you can not shake them. You can take the time to kill, but to waste precious seconds. In a sequence of hunting on foot, your aim will run off in one direction, the game does not intend to break the engagement. And, as in Mafia II and previous downloadable content, you can not work without a fault of your own, your goal linger in traffic, or being arrested by a policeman.

Not all the missions is so annoying part, though many of them suffer from lack of inspiration. A brief series of fights is very easy to be frustrating, but not very exciting either. The same applies to the theft of a vehicle and deliver it to a garage. If these tasks had been given the proper context of history, which could have been more exciting, but the side missions come with pieces of exclamation full text leaves much to the imagination. The missions of the history a step further, commissioning of the action that followed a total of cinema, with many of the excellent voice acting that helped write the history of the Mafia II is so immersive. Joe is a great character, and his line delivery is always a delight, smiling. However, these scenes are short and contain a minimum of dialogue and facial animations are more rigid than those in the main game, which is annoying.

Mafia II: The Adventures of Joe has many moments of absolute brilliance that remind you of what makes the original so special. But these moments are too often overshadowed by the aggravating missions focus on the flaws of the game, and minimize their strengths. Six or seven hours of additional content that takes you to one of the most beautiful cities of fiction 2010 seems to be a flight to $ 9.99. But it is not as good value, when the content is clear that the padding is not able to leverage the best qualities of the main game. It's a shame, because this mission best add-on is impressive and large refer to the DLC that could have been.

The interiors are ostensibly brothel decorated and colorful, while the market shelves are filled with fictitious products nevertheless find the right old timey vibe. Good animations and sound effects make it fun to shoot your enemies, if you swing a Magnum or a machine gun.

This lack of correlation between Mafia II is the mechanics and structure of the new content is clearly and repeatedly. For example, a frustrating task that you run as fast as you can through a series of checkpoints, but the roads slippery with rain, heavy traffic, and strict hours making this race against time is anything but pleasant. (There is no point in two different key turns in the context of this mission, the GPS of the game go haywire and send you the wrong way.)

The fact that these secondary tasks have no checkpoint mission in mid makes these moments even more boring.

The farm add-on with a scene eerily quiet that feels more like an interlude than a soft real conclusion, and then you drop back into the beautiful city empire, where you can return to a side mission you want.
