Edge

Edge
After decades of playing the supporting role, the unsung hero of the sort of platform finally gets his time in the spotlight. Years of being pushed, stepped on and torn to pieces off, and now the mainstay of the scene of the cube. In perimeter maneuver the six-sided star of the show around environments composed entirely of his collection of polyhedral prisms siblings and trying not to sink into oblivion stars. The level of intelligent design has some interesting evidence of his limited moveset, while minimalist graphics and audio feedback make the experience the atmosphere of a large number of blocks floating in space has the right to be. Edge is not a complex game - which focuses on the movement rather than solving puzzles and there are times when the controls do not feel as strong as it should. However, the price of admission is relatively inexpensive at around seven dollars, and the few hours it takes to carry out the cube in Edge are fine.

The aim of Edge is simple: move the cube from the starting point of each level until the end point. The levels are entirely composed of cubes and other places, creating a three dimensional network that must navigate. To view the action from an isometric angle, and the network is arranged diagonally. You can move the cube in just four cardinal points, but pressing up not really move the bucket at the top of the screen. Instead, it moves diagonally to the right, and pressing down moves diagonally to the left. Because of this orientation, with WASD or the arrow requires a mental adjustment may be misleading. Fortunately, you can avoid this problem by using the numbers on the numeric keypad area (1, 3, 7, 9) or the analog stick of the Xbox 360. No matter what control scheme you use, the movement of an edge wave uncomfortable for her. Part of this is because they are trying to "roll" a pack around, but his swing can be annoying at times.

The main challenge is to maneuver through each level safely. Your cube can move along flat surfaces and climb on top of each block, but if you run into something higher, you know, it's time to find another route. Apart from rolling and climbing, your only other option to enter the edge of time. Edge is a time of dropping out mid-rise achieved by pressing the button or thinning stick uncertain balance between one level and another. This allows you to hang on to a single board, as long as you can keep your balance. If you take the side of a block of time in motion, it can transport you to a new area. Or if you do it on a wall, you can hang on a gulf as a platform away from you and another will pick you up. These exercises, with situations that require precision timing, is as difficult as Edge gets.

Edge is more a test of reflexes of a test of brain power. It is almost always clear in which direction has to roll in, and it is very difficult to understand how to overcome obstacles. Risks such as motion blocks, tiles bumper fragile, narrow areas, and who-knows-what-you-do with the buttons is also likely to help your way, and Edge combines these elements reflects the level of design to create some clever ways for you to follow. Momentum can be annoying delicate things get tough, and there is some flexibility in maneuvering to move the blocks that may lead to fall to his death, when you thought it landed. It is unclear as to spoil the fun, but dampen the experience a bit.

In addition to simply get to the exit, you can collect along the prisms so, and later levels of use of prisms difficult investment to create opportunities for light to solve puzzles. Is not always clear how each prism, so you must use all his skills of the locomotive (and useful mini-map) to locate them. Collect all the prisms in each level unlocks bonus levels and beat all the levels, bringing the total count in the north of 55. At the end of each level, you receive a rating and a score based on their time. Every time you win in time is subtracted from the final, but the clock is always ticking, so if you can just run to the final, which is the best way to earn a good score. Taking the timeout limit for a mobile platform or thinking about your next move helps keep the downtime, but worth it if the destination is a place in the online ranking.

All this action polygon is aesthetically pleasing, thanks to the simple lines and contrasting colorful graphics. Colors of the rainbow prisms, and mobile platforms stand out nicely against shades of gray, shades, and still move the cube is a nice show. The electronic soundtrack adds a dynamic element in a relatively static, because it moves the atmosphere lively and adventurous, and moody, Perking things and fled from the monotony. There is a certain repetitiveness to the edge comes from its simplicity, but its debt, the game manages to entertain for a few hours to complete all levels. A novel a strange way of moving around the control box can hold, despite the difficulties, and there's a good amount of content from this starting price. Edge will not be the herald of the new platform hero, but can give a new cube jurisdiction humble appreciation.

When you go to an adjacent square, you come to a turning point, when the crash cube. If you press this point, or linger a bit 'too long, you might fall on a square or two by mistake. This can be a great thing, or it could lead to a death or two more. Fortunately, death is not severely punished for EDGE, so it's not a big frustration, and most of you feel comfortable moving in this world is a cube.

You'll probably die a little more once you get the hang of the time limit, but with a little persistence (and a little help from generous checkpoints) must be able to continue without too much trouble.
