E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy

E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
EYES: Cybermancy God is an unusual and captivating, and the game is undoubtedly the fear itself. This set of first-person action role-playing game can be painted with shades of Deus Ex, but the atmosphere and rhythm are unique and this uniqueness will remain committed in the face of some unattractive elements. EYE is ambitious. You will be given guns, swords and cyber skills, then fall into a cold world of science fiction, allowing you to achieve your goals in any way you want. It is also confusing and clumsy, unnecessary obstacles in their path with pride, as if to say: "These are not errors, they are typical" and he could curse and sometimes bite the bullet, but also fun and maybe even fear at a time. Once you have played EYE, can not forget. Whether you remember it for its flexibility and impressive futuristic oppressive, or to see how wrong to have their own players, largely depends on the patience he has.

It's a shame EYES: Cybermancy divine as this requires patience from the start. After making a series of unexplained statistical decisions, wakes up in a stone bridge. Obelisks inscribed with mysterious runes above you on either side. The sky is a yellowish color, but the darkness envelops you when you move out you see: a shining your light shines in the dark turquoise blue. They are greeted by a character dressed in black armor, his helmet crowned with a halo of gold. Like all the characters are, speak in a slurred speech noise, sometimes translates into passable, sometimes broken English subtitles. Once you enter the door, the first level starts - and because of the confusion. EYE presents the fundamentals of shooting in the first person at this level: how to crouch, jump, aim, fire, and so on. What does it teach the important things.

The story is just as confusing, but the awakening comes, at least in part. You are one of them threatening, Sci-Fi armored soldiers. You learn of the Federation, a conglomerate of the intergalactic community Secretorum Secreta and the Cold War, when the two factions involved, and the conflict between your mentor and your manager. This knowledge does not come without effort. The dialogue is not always yield information, or even make much sense (probably because of a confusing translation from the original French). EYE of the temple, you can read the whole background story that highlights the circumstances. But they dare accounts are not likely to inspire any emotional connection with history.

You do not know a lot of information to be drawn into this world, however. Each level has a remarkable sense of place. You explore the sanctuaries of stone on the surface of a planet's dusty. You are an important link in an industrial gray area illuminated by the neon lights and billboards and TV shows weird. A vessel to float cuts a silhouette against a sky impressive neon green. Meanwhile, an electronic soundtrack drones and pulses, taking the place of the ambient noise in this universe strangely silent. The graphics, powered by the Source engine is not revolutionary. Missing textures, and low light is a common frustration, making it difficult to see the important things like hidden inputs and grotesque creatures by maul you to death. However strange language, the murmurs synthesized music and computer terminals orange tree loaded with unintelligible text all add to a unique and special distant future.

The gameplay will draw you and if you give an hour or two. EYE appears as a shooter in first person at the beginning, only to turn into something much more flexible - and much more frightening if you do not have time to experiment with its confusing array of menus. There are tons of statistics to consider: agility, piracy, drugs and psi force between them. There are guns, sniper rifles, melee weapons and much more you can get from armories. And you can not load the things each item, including ammunition, fills a certain amount of space in your inventory. Among your many talents is a skin to make you less visible to enemy phantom decoys to call, and a wishbone attack that makes extreme damage to your enemy, but comes with health risks. You can hack turrets to disable them, or even to turn against their former masters. Or maybe you prefer to snipe them and be done with it.

It's a lot to consider. But before you become accustomed to the jumble of options so that you stuck into the action and find that the eye is the different rates of most action games. The levels are large and many goals, either you send the card, or need free exploration. Given the tense atmosphere suggests, is not running and firing through a horde of suicidal intent. First of all, you are bombarded by bullets of the enemies that you could not see through the mist jade oppressive. You will learn to be cautious and take advantage of all these powers lined up in cyber labyrinthine menus. Activate your cloak and sneak if you must. Peer down the sights of your sniper rifle and kill the target before they get the chance to do first. Near death? Convert dropped munitions and weapons in health. As you truant through the sewers or hide a claustrophobic attack helicopter raining death upon you at the top, you encounter a number of interesting enemies - some humanoid, some not.

This is a complex game in which hacking turrets, search technology, using psychic powers, and fractures. And it takes a while to make sense of these mechanisms. Some of these concepts are introduced in a meaningful way, and video tutorials that include the use bit.

Enemies are not brilliant, can not see the intelligent use of cover or flanking tactics. The AI does not cheat, however, all enemies within a certain radius to be fully aware of his presence or not in sight.
