Hydrophobia Prophecy

Hydrophobia Prophecy
Prophecy hydrophobicity is an updated version of hydrophobia, published last year on Xbox Live Arcade. It is a time of adventure in the third person, with an innovative physics engine that accurately simulate the flow of large amounts of water. This is usually life-giving fluid dominated environments, forcing you to face the game's puzzles and action in surprising new ways.

The prophecy is set in the dystopian near future where the world suffers from severe overcrowding. The development is in a huge ship, the Queen of the World, which includes five Founding Fathers, who are businessmen who have prospered, while others have struggled to support themselves during a mass increase of the population. The ship is attacked by terrorists who call themselves Malthusian (named after the politician Thomas Malthus, who predicted that population growth would exceed the development of agriculture). Cue reluctant hero, Kate Wilson, systems engineer, who is trying to unravel the terrorist plot and save the passengers of the ship. Wilson is a character believable, and it is refreshing to see a strong female protagonist, who is able to overcome difficult situations without the help of a hero.

In the PC game, the story is fleshed out with additional cinematics and an additional layer of tracking terrorists. "Instead of just causing terror, designed to steal the Queen Malthusian technology and weapons of the world. It also presents the terrorist leader for the first time. These story elements to create a new plot and add much to the game's violent vision for the future of Earth. Unfortunately, all these additions are discussed in all its potential, especially when it comes the new ending, coming soon, and really not to tie the threads of a story. In addition to new elements of the plot, the voice of Scoot has been redesigned, making a big difference. ridiculously bad performance in the events affecting in the history and often poor condition of the dark atmosphere. This role is currently distributed in a more convincing, which makes the story much more believable.

When the ship was damaged by the terrorist attacks, Kate has to move through its dark interior attempts to halt their progress in any way she can. With the breaking of the shell, you have to struggle with the very realistic flowing water, often a source of tension that can be manipulated to solve puzzles or gain a tactical advantage in combat. The puzzles are generally water is used to help you through a field or to get something that was previously inaccessible. Such a scenario you destroy a part of the already damaged hull of the ship to fill a large water surface, which then allows Kate to swim to a place that was previously out of reach. In combat, creating waves explode a barrel of liquid fuel huge imbalance of your enemies, or send them flying into the environment, break down and drown them. You can even start the oil fires on the surface of the water and then manipulate the waves to push the flames against the hidden enemies.

The rage of battle in the third person will feel familiar if you've never been a cover-based shooter, Kate comes out from behind the barriers and will then be able to lean on those around them to the enemy. Its hidden gun can be upgraded to different types of ammunition, stun rounds begins, which is charged by holding down the Fire. Stun is deadly if you hit an enemy multiple times, at an early stage of the game, it is important to use the environment by shooting your enemies for leaking gas pipes and electric cables overhead. Updates ammunition are much more efficient, but they are also reduced. They range from normal bullets, and an electrical charge to detonate explosives blows incredibly useful at a distance. The rarity of these types of ammunition increases the excitement, because you're constantly under pressure to make sure that the shots are accurate. If you are extravagant with the attacks, it is possible to reduce the use of rubber bullets fired again.

In later parts of the original game was extremely frustrating battles, because the load of the base made the fight weapons more difficult enemies. In the prophecy, it is somewhat mitigated by the water-based powers, Kate used later in the game. They allow you to manipulate the water in the environment, creating massive waves to hit the enemy more, and also throwing things. The controls are sometimes difficult to use these powers quickly, but they certainly give you an advantage in battle when you're used to them.

Unfortunately, you do not get much time to use these new powers before the game is over, so to combat the problems of the original game have a story mode for most of the prophecy. The lack of a melee attack is a prophecy demand, especially in areas where the environment is not possible to kill. One is forced to repeatedly stun gun to shoot the enemies, if you run out of ammunition, and no way to stun enemies and then quickly end up at close range. The lack of variety of enemies, you spend the entire game fighting the same nameless, faceless terrorists, and there is a small change in their weapons or attack patterns. One episode is also the enemies that constantly respawn immediately turned back, making it very frustrating to struggle before gaining new powers to the water.
