Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 |
The rules of Magic: The Gathering involve the removal of the magical power players from various sources, altering the environment spells, summoning creatures and wrestlers, large and small, conjuring powerful magical artifacts, and the use of a beating each other. There are many nuances to this, of course, there are several different "colors" of spells with strengths and weaknesses as well as many types of monsters and objects with different features and capabilities. Magic is a game that requires strategic vision and competitive and a lot of reaction.
Two battles are wayfarers in 2012 to simplify things a little 'card game by making the complex structure of the original spell more attractive to new and casual players. Instead of careful selection and build your deck card tricks, playing one of the many pre-built decks to play with different styles, advantages and disadvantages. When playing through the various single-player mode, you unlock new decks to use as well as earn additional cards to expand each bridge. Play itself has also been streamlined and simplified, as DotP 2012 combines a number of early and late phases of the game runs smoothly in two phases "main", between the combat phase. While the magic hardcore gamers will refuse to change - the inability to create a customized deck from scratch, in particular, will certainly turn off a couple of veterans - make the game much easier to dive for a general audience.
There are many game modes available in the MDF 2012 e In campaign mode you fight computer opponents, winning new tires and additional cards as you progress. In between games is also optional, intelligent puzzle challenges created a game situation in place - most often to the disadvantage of you - asking you to make intelligent use of playing cards and abilities to turn around. Through the campaign mode standard mode will also unlock the Nemesis is new from the 2012-edition of the game. In this mode, you take two players and computer controlled on a single, high-powered opponent who can bend a few rules and play hard, the change in the environment "drawing" cards each turn. There is also the Revenge mode, where you fight with opponents of the bridges to return bigger and more powerful. Unlike many other games in the genre of battle maps, there is no global history, or other type of dialogue with characters going on during the campaign and you just beat a guy and move to the next.
If you do not want to trudge through the countryside, there is a Quick Play mode that allows you to create a game against up to four computer opponents in a standard winner-takes-all competition. Variety states are more interesting, however, in addition to sworn enemy, there are also two-headed giant, a two against two team event where you and a computer controlled partner (or a local player) join forces and share a pool of life while you are taking the opposite two-player team. Competitive game against other opponents of man is the biggest draw, however, and it's done pretty well. You can play either standard or ranked matches against friends or random players in one game modes available (although the enemy, because of its nature, is not available for the player ranked). Get a group of friends together to play good-natured battles against each other or collaborate in one of the game modes of the team are tons of fun, but will face random opponents is still something of a coup dice.
Although DotP 2012 could be fun, a lot of joy for you that could come from the game is to find the Magic: The Gathering interesting to play. The graphics are good (do not expect anything fresh invitations animated monsters, for example) and the sound effects are mild and harmless. The main advantage of the PC version through the console counterparts, however, it is easy to use, the mouse-driven control. With a flick of your mouse and select the card you can play, pause the game to plan a counterattack, check images and text cards and get detailed information about the terms of the game. Although these controls to improve the user interface significantly, not completely bridge the presentation rather simple.
For now, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 offers a way to enjoy a simple game Magic: The Gathering. Its limited customization options, control issues seriously and lack of extra flair to keep from being as enjoyable as it could be, but you can still have a good time by getting a group of friends or even online play. And $ 10, it is certainly cheaper than going to your local card shop and buy cases of cards.
It 'a bit' disappointing, because it would have been nice to interact with, even superficially, the world of Magic: The Gathering interesting characters and settings.
A common complaint in the last iteration is that the players off if they started to lose a ranked match. "Pull" on a fight in 2012 dotP is now counted as a loss against a player who disconnects, but there are still other ways of mourning for an opponent, including the blocking as much time as possible. Bugs online also seems to be present in the few cases where we met a match where the game just stuck forever as a player tried to activate the ability of a card, forcing us to accept.
